In an "excellent location" at Downtown's Public Square, this "well-maintained" 1918 stalwart "brings you back to another era" with its "frilly" "old-world" atmosphere; while the Med cuisine at Sans Souci has foodies flocking, guests can also enjoy "charming" rooms, an "accommodating" staff and such "grand public spaces" as a "beautiful lobby" with a marble fountain and a 10-story atrium housing an indoor pool.

Very close to any attraction you want to see in Cleveland!
Shows some age and room service choices were space.

This was a great hotel if you would like to see any of the down town sites in Cleveland. The staff was very courteous and the view from our room was amazing. There is a walkway adjacent to the Q Center Arena that takes about 15 minutes from your room to your seat. This is great to avoid cold weather and rain. There is a food court along the way as well as some very nice restaurants Morton's. Grab something at the Food Court for later because the menu choices for room service are limited and unappealing. I would stay here again without hesitation. Our room was ample and Aveda products are supplied in the bathrooms. We opted for valet parking which is about 30 bucks but definitely worth it. The doorman was friendly and helpful. Remember this is an older hotel so it is important to embrace the character of the history rather than anticipating modern convenience. ...read more

It is a very elegant hotel. Size of the rooms and bathroom are excellent.
Poor ability to control the climate in the room, old heat/AC system.

Easy location to nightlife and live music entertainment and a
nice sink in bath.
Ridiculously small room and the
size of a closet. Old TV set.

I did not like this hotel. Parking was terribly overpriced but was close and convenient. The room was incredibly small, the size of a closet. The desk was old and not attractive to me. The furnishings were of an older style and did not appeal to me. The TV set was not so large and was the old, fat box style. The bathroom sink was very nice though and had higher end amenities. The decor was of an older style and just not my taste and room was way too small. ...read more

The lobby was beautiful.
No internet in rooms as a courtesy.

We took our two young children on a trip and were pleasantly treated and loved our room. I can't say that it was family friendly because it was impossible for my children to reach the marble sink to brush their teeth without me holding them up. A stool would have been nice! We didn't use the pool or exercise room, but we walked through them and thought they looked very nice. Overall, we really liked the hotel and would go back again without hesitation. ...read more

The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Parking, both self and valet, was expensive. 1/3 the price I paid for the room.

Clean rooms. Elevators arrived quickly. Friendly, helpful staff. Good location within walking distance of many fine restaurants. Biggest downside is parking. $23 or $28 per night for self or valet. In-room internet is $12/day. ...read more
